Swimming Club coach is Tiger’s newest Community Hero

Swimming coach Mike Crabb is Hull Tiger’s latest Community Hero. Mike, who was nominated for the award by friend Nick Ward, has been the head coach of South Hunsley Swimming Club for many years.

As winner of the Community Hero award, Mike received tickets for the match against West Ham on November 5th from sponsors no win no fee lawyers Neil Hudgell Solicitors.

South Hunsley Swimming Club has 150 swimmers who train 4 nights a week. Mike, a volunteer, attends these sessions to pass on his expertise and to encourage all the swimmers. On his few nights off, Mike is busy organising galas not only for South Hunsley Swimming Club but for many other clubs in Hull and East Riding.

In addition, at weekends Mike is usually attending a gala with swimmers in Hull, Scarborough or Sheffield. On the odd weekend off, Mike, a keen Hull city fan, goes to see a match.

Nick Ward said: “Over the years Mike has helped many swimmers. Many have gone on to reach regional finals and all have benefitted from Mike’s guidance which they carry on into later life.

“I, like all the swimmers past and present, feel Mike deserves a Community Hero Award for all his hard work over the years.”

As well as sponsoring the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Community East stand at the KC Stadium, Neil Hudgell Solicitors are supporting the club’s Community Heroes Award by giving away up to ten tickets for every Tigers home game throughout the season to people nominated by their friends, colleagues or family for their good work and positive contribution.
